Artwork

Beyond my work as a director and producer, my creative journey is deeply rooted in the visual arts. This page presents a selection of my personal artwork, spanning photography, video art, installation, and mixed media, each reflecting the visual language and conceptual sensitivity I bring to every project. These pieces are not just standalone expressions; they represent the aesthetic instincts and narrative thinking that inform my filmmaking. Through this collection, I invite you to explore the broader spectrum of my artistic vision—one that bridges fine art and cinematic storytelling.

Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts

One of my photographs, Passenger Ship, Dump, People, has been officially collected by the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts. This honor affirms the value of artistic observation in everyday moments. This work captures a layered intersection of industrial presence, human activity, and transitory spaces, reflecting my ongoing interest in the poetry of the overlooked. Having it recognized by a major public institution is not only a personal milestone but also a reminder of the dialogue between art and society that continues to inspire my creative practice.

Landing from the South
2015 Image Collection Exhibition

Landing from the South – 2015 Image Collection Exhibition is a landmark curatorial project that reimagines the experience of migration and identity through photography and moving images. Beginning with a historic 1871 photograph by British traveler John Thomson, the exhibition unfolds like a poetic road movie, weaving together stories of missionaries, laborers, travelers, and migrants across time. The themes of travel and the ocean invite viewers to shift perspectives—from local observer to foreign sojourner—revealing Taiwan as both homeland and threshold. This robust narrative framework positions the exhibition as a significant achievement in connecting contemporary art with collective memory and transnational experience.
