Jing, a kind-hearted housewife, lives a lonely life due to her husband Guo’s demanding career as a cardiac surgeon. After collapsing and being diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy, she undergoes a heart transplant arranged by Guo in China. Upon returning, Jing is cared for by a graceful nurse, Xiu, and befriends a charming new neighbor, Wen. However, her marriage grows cold, and strange events lead her to uncover Guo’s involvement in an illegal organ trafficking ring, forcing her to confront terrifying truths and make a life-or-death decision.
